Beyond Sauerkraut – Vegetable Fermentation

Instructor: Marianne Stolz

Sauerkraut 2 Sauerkraut 1

We will learn about the likes and dislikes of busy little Milkacid bacteria. We will use them to turn our garden vegetables into taste bud delights. Sauerkraut is just one of the many recipes.

Bring some pint to quart sized canning jars, cutting knives and cutting boards. Also, please bring large bowls for mixing, a grater, and a scale if you have them.  Marianne will be supplying the vegetables for fermenting, but you may bring your own vegetables if you like.
