Bouquets! Exploring Cut Flower Varieties and Floral Design –  A collaboration between the Folk School and Calypso Farm and Ecology Center

Are you an aspiring farmer or avid home gardener? Gain the skills you need through summer farming classes at Calypso Farm & Ecology Center!

Calypso grows many varieties of flowers, most of which work well as cut flowers for bouquets. Tour the flower varieties in the field, and then learn some basics of floral design.  All workshop participants will take home their own bouquet!

Date: Monday, July 31, 2017

Time: 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Cost: $30 (Calypso members); $45 (non-members)

Lunch: Join us for lunch at 12:30pm!  Bring something to share and stick around for a great group meal.

Calypso membership: Classes are offered at a member and non-member rate. If you would like to become a member and pay the membership price for all workshops, simply make a donation of any amount when you register!

Location: Calypso Farm and Ecology Center, 4780 Old Nenana Hwy., Fairbanks, AK 99709
