Chicken Butchering –  A collaboration between the Folk School and Calypso Farm and Ecology Center

Are you an aspiring farmer or avid home gardener? Gain the skills you need through summer farming classes at Calypso Farm & Ecology Center! 

In this class learn how to humanely and safely butcher chickens for home-scale consumption.

Date: Monday, August 21, 2017

Time: 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Cost: $30 (Calypso members); $45 (non-members) 

Lunch: Join us for lunch at 12:30pm!  Bring something to share and stick around for a great group meal.

Calypso membership: Classes are offered at a member and non-member rate. If you would like to become a member and pay the membership price for all workshops, simply make a donation of any amount when you register!
