Felling the OneTree!

On August 19, The Folk School will be cutting down the selected birch tree for our 2017 OneTree project.

At this time, parts of the tree will be available to artists and craftspeople who are interested in participating. You could craft an object from wood or bark, draw, paint, write poetry, compose music, make a print, pose a scientific question… the sky is the limit!

We encourage everyone committed to this project to attend the tree-felling and to select their materials. We also encourage anyone who is curious about the project to attend!

Please see our OneTree program page for additional information, and contact kerri@thefolkschoolfairbanks.org to request material from the tree to work with.

We can’t wait to see what our talented community will create from this beautiful tree!

Date of event: Saturday, August 19, 2017
