Instructor: Jennifer Nu
Join Alaskan food writer and cooking instructor Jennifer Nu in the kitchen and learn to make homemade eggrolls! Jennifer has been making eggrolls with her mother and aunt since she was a young child. After over a decade of living in Alaska, cooking up eggrolls with friends and family has been a fun way to bring back old memories, make new ones, and enjoy a tasty Chinese-American snack that uses local meat/fish and vegetables.
Workshop participants will learn basic knife skills for preparing vegetables to use in an eggroll filling. Participants will cook and prepare eggroll filling and learn how to roll their own eggrolls.
As a class, we will fry the eggrolls and make enough eggrolls for participants to eat during the class and take home to share with their families.
For vegetarian participants, please make a note on your registration and we can prepare vegetarian eggrolls to be fried separately from the meat eggrolls.
