Welcome to The Folk School of Fairbanks

Become a Member!

Members are individuals who support our mission and contribute to The Folk School.

Your membership contributions support the ongoing operations of The Folk School, the development of new programming, and helps us keep the cost of classes as low as possible.

Note: Memberships are solicited annually.

Membership Rates per Year (the minimum donation to qualify as a member – larger donations are always welcome!):

  • $20 Student & Active Duty Military Personnel
  • $35 Individual
  • $50 Family

Sustaining Donor:

You may also choose to take the next step and become a sustaining donor. In addition to their initial membership fee, sustaining donors donate an amount of their choosing each month. To become a sustaining donor, indicate this choice on the membership form below and then click on the Subscribe button on the Payment Options page to set up your recurring payment.

All members are eligible for the following benefits:

  • special member rate on all of our classes; and,
  • a subscription to our monthly e-newsletter and annual report.

*As a 501 (c) 3 organization, your donations to the Folk School are tax-deductible.

To become a Folk School Member:

Please fill out the membership form below and click on the “Submit” button. This will take you to Payment Options page, where you can make your donation through PayPal (or you may send a check by mail).

In addition, please consider linking your Fred Meyer Rewards Card to the Folk School. This isn’t required for membership of course, but is another great way to feel good about helping The Folk School succeed! (This does not affect your own Fred Meyer points.) Click here to learn more.

You can also link your Amazon Smile account to The Folk School and support us while shopping online!

We appreciate your support!!
